Mission Field Director, KEN BIRON
Ken Biron: Ken grew up attending the First Church of God in St. Louis, headquartered in Anderson, Indiana. When he was 13, Ken attended a Church of God youth camp where he accepted Christ as his Savior. He was baptized soon thereafter. After four years in the Marine Corps, Ken attended Parks College in St. Louis earning his Aircraft and Power Plant License in 1981. After graduation he worked for eight years in the aviation industry. Missionary Roma Lee Courvisier spoke about a short-term mission trip to Lima, Peru at South Side Church of God in 1987. Ken was the first to sign up for that trip. After seeing a poorer district in Lima, Ken asked God, "Why doesn’t someone do something for these children?" Ken felt God speak to him, “That’s why you are here.” Ken took five more trips to Peru and in 1988 he founded Latin American Children’s Fund (LACF) beginning with only five children. The goal was, and still is to evangelize the children of Peru. Through a sponsorship program, their physical and educational needs are being met. In January 1990, Ken quit his job in St. Louis, learned Spanish and moved to Peru to help the children. Ken met his wife Maria who shared his desire to serve God by serving the children. They have four children.
Hey, can anyone tell me when the application and deposit are due? I'm still searching for my passport....don't want to submit until I find it...you can pray about that please.

I (like Susan) plan to get mine and Caleb's deposit in as soon as I save back a bit of money. Susan...I am praying for your passport to be found! We need to go back to Reque together!
