Teacher bags

I wanted to let David and everyone know I picked up 33 teacher bags from Soita. They donated them to us for the teachers in Peru. The bags are red and black and very nice. I tried to post this info at an earlier date...but I must have messed up somewhere or another! I hope everyone is well and I hope this post makes it! Take care. Mel

Some Physical Work Done Last Year

Teacher bags

I have never posted a blog in my life...let's see if I figure out what to do?! David, I talked to my friend who works at Soita...she thinks she can get us 30 teacher bags to give to the teachers in Peru! Yeah. I expect to receive a verification email from her tomorrow while at school. I will keep you posted! Melonie

Some Pictures of the Children

I think that you need to see some pictures of the children from the Roma Lee School.

First Interest Meeting for the Trip

This morning (Sat., Jan. 30th, 2010) we held our first informational meeting for the MissionPeru, 2010 group. With the people who attended the meeting and others I know of who are interested, it looks like we will have 30-35 people be a part of this life-changing mission.

Please remember to get a passport or check to see that yours is up-to-date as soon as possible. We will be creating a time-line soon that will let you know when applications/deposits are due, as well as update you with more detailed planning.

I've added the photo above to show you the dorm building where most of us will stay while in Reque, Peru at the Roma Lee Courvisier School. The video clip below also shows the what the beds are like in the dorm. There is some mosquito netting hanging down from the ceiling in areas where beds are usually located in the room.
